Our chefs first sampled a simple version of this dish in a Japanese restaurant. They enjoyed it so much, they decided to concoct one of their own. They were very pleased to engage the help of a chef to advise them on all things Japanese. The result was satisfactory but being perfectionists that they were, our chefs felt that the dish needed that little something extra to make the taste truly exquisite.
