Working at Red House

Chef

You will be helping to prepare our seafood that is delivered on a daily basis, and making sure it is cooked consistently to a high standard based on our cooking methods and recipes. You will be involved with managing and planning the manpower for the kitchen, ordering of stock from our approved list of suppliers, guiding and training your junior staff as well as organizing the effective storage of goods. You will be responsible for the cleaning of your section and making sure that the overall hygiene and safety standards of the kitchen are maintained.

Kitchen Assistant

You will be helping to prepare our seafood that is delivered on a daily basis, and making sure it is cooked consistently to a high standard based on our cooking methods and recipes. You will be part of the team in making sure that the kitchen, equipment and back of house areas are kept clean to a high standard, and to take the initiative to report on equipment that needs servicing/ maintenance.

Assistant Manager

You will be part of a team serving our customers with our signature dishes, the freshest catch of the day cooked in sauces that are freshly prepared on a daily basis. You need to have excellent communication skills, understand customers’ requests and be enthusiastic about serving our menu in an efficient and prompt manner. You will ensure that all service stations are equipped with the necessary service ware, and that it is kept clean and tidy. You will make sure that tables are kept clean and used tables are cleared as soon as possible after the customer leaves. You will need to  coordinate with the kitchen team on a daily basis to ensure that the daily catch and perishable items are managed, as well as ensure that the service team is able to upsell and promote our signature and seasonal items.

Host

You will be part of a team serving our customers with our signature dishes, the freshest catch of the day cooked in sauces that are freshly prepared on a daily basis. You need to have excellent communication skills, understand customers’ requests and be enthusiastic about serving our menu in an efficient and prompt manner. You will ensure that all daily reservations are confirmed and assign the relevant tables as per customers’ special requests if any.

Waiter/ Waitress

You will be part of a team serving our customers with our signature dishes, the freshest catch of the day cooked in sauces that are freshly prepared on a daily basis. You need to have excellent communication skills, understand customers’ requests and be enthusiastic about serving our menu in an efficient and prompt manner. You will ensure that all service stations are equipped with the necessary service ware, and that it is kept clean and tidy. You will make sure that tables are kept clean and used tables are cleared as soon as possible after the customer leaves. You will need to familiarize yourself with our signature dishes and wine lists to be able to make suitable recommendations when customers ask.

Bar

You will be part of a team serving our customers with our signature dishes, the freshest catch of the day cooked in sauces that are freshly prepared on a daily basis. You need to have excellent communication skills, understand customers’ requests and be enthusiastic about serving our menu in an efficient and prompt manner. You should have a good basic knowledge of the wine varietals and be able to recommend suitable dish pairings to customers, as well as be able to promote drinks where possible. You will make sure all sales and order of goods are accounted for, that you order stock only from our approved list of suppliers. You will follow our liquor preparation procedures and make sure that the overall hygiene and safety standards of the bar are maintained.
